A Mary Sue is the perfect character. The character that has no flaws or apparent weaknesses and is immediately respected and valued by all the other characters. So, the point is that you do NOT want to write with a Mary Sue/Gary Stu character. I've created a quiz for you to take so you can figure out if you have a Sue on your hands. You can also post questions about this subject on this thread. Enjoy.
